SBI PO Eligibility Details

State Bank of India (SBI) conducts recruitment for the post of Probationary Officer (PO). Candidates must satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria before applying for the examination.

Nationality

  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 21 Years.
  • Maximum Age: 30 Years.
  • Age relaxation is applicable as per Government rules.

Upper Age Relaxation

  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years.
  • SC / ST Candidates: 5 Years.
  • Ex-Servicemen with eligible military service: 5 Years.
  • Candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir (1980–1989): 5 Years.

Educational Qualification

  • Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.
  • Equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government is also accepted.
  • Final Year / Final Semester students may apply provisionally.
  • Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) candidates should ensure the passing date meets SBI notification requirements.

Important Note

Candidates applying provisionally must produce proof of passing the graduation examination during the document verification or interview process.

SBI PO Selection Process

SBI PO recruitment is conducted in three phases: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview / Group Exercise.

Phase I – Preliminary Examination
